About the Author

Sean Nelson lives in Castle Rock, Colorado with his wife and kids. The idea of introducing conservative principles to children via Bungles was born one evening in the fall of 2000 as he placed a small stuffed bunny next to his daughter as she fell asleep. In 1993, while serving in the United States Air Force, a famous talk radio host with a TV show challenged Sean Nelson’s political beliefs and he transitioned quickly from a liberal to a conservative. He has been an artist for almost twenty years. From a humble beginning of drawing art for his high school newspaper and yearbook to this wonderful children’s book, his artwork has taken many forms including a large mural he painted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia depicting an F-16 dedicated to the 34th FS Rams of Hill AFB, Utah.

A note from Sean Nelson:

I hope you and your children enjoy following Bungles on his many adventures! With our kids surrounded by the effects of liberalism they need us as parents to show them how destructive liberalism is and how liberating conservatism is. But how do you teach a six year old about politics? Politics and news is absolutely boring to a child and they don’t understand it. Liberals know this. That is why they inject liberal ideas like “everybody wins”, “global warming”, and other forms of guilt into cartoons and they go unchallenged. It has been hard work to teach my kids that oftentimes their teacher is wrong and that the cartoon they’re watching is stupid. It’s good for them, it makes them think, and it makes them ask “why?” But while it’s easy to point out what’s wrong, I needed something to point to and say “this is right!” That is the purpose of Bungles the bunny and his adventures. Bungles will entertain kids with conservatism that they can understand. Bungles will help kids think and have a lot of fun doing it!
